The Turragraph Term 3 Week 4 - 15 August 2025
Open Morning 2025
A big thank you to all the parents/carers, grandparents, family friends and members of our wider TNPS community who joined us for our our Open Day, Art Exhibition and Book Week celebrations – your presence made the day even more special!
We’d also like to thank our amazing teachers for the time and effort they put into helping students bring Book Week to life. From showcasing daily classroom learning to highlighting the extra opportunities offered at TNPS, the enthusiasm and dedication was clear to see.
It was fantastic to see everyone getting into the spirit of the day with creative and original costumes inspired by book characters from a wide range of genres – such colourful and imaginative characters!
Throughout the morning, the Top Quad buzzed with excitement as students explored a variety of book-themed activities, including finding Rainbow Fish, guess the shredded books, chalk art, character silhouettes and discovering hidden book covers. It was heart-warming to watch students share this with peers and family members to solve each challenge.
During Open Classrooms, visitors were welcomed with smiles and excitement as students proudly showed off their learning spaces. Together, they completed even more book-themed activities, working through their Activity Passports by writing stories, folding origami, colouring bookmarks, cracking cryptic puzzles and designing unique characters.
Our community also enjoyed visiting the Book Fair and Art Show, and were treated to performances from the terrific TNPS Performance Band and our wonderful choir, 'The Melody Makers'.
It was a joy to see our school filled with such vibrant energy and community spirit. The students absolutely loved sharing their learning with you and showing what life at TNPS is all about!

Art Exhibition
It was wonderful to see so many people celebrating the creativity and hard work of our TNPS students. Your support truly means a lot to us and to the students.
A very special thank you goes to Mrs Plasto for her incredible effort in bringing the Art Show together. Her dedication, organisation and passion for the arts helped make the event such a success.
If you would still like to purchase your child's artwork, there's still time! For a small donation of $2-$5, you can take home their masterpiece. Simply send the donation in an envelope clearly marked with your child's name and hand to their class teacher.
Thank you once again for being part of such a special event and for supporting our young artists!

What a fantastic performance by the TNPS Melody Makers at Open Day! The students have been working hard and attending practices with such engagement and enthusiasm, which was clear in their performance of 'Geronimo' and 'You've Got A Friend In Me'.
The TNPS Melody Makers look forward to their next performance on Friday August 22 at Chatswood Concourse! We are excited to see and hear you perform again.

Book Fair Update
Thank you to all the TNPS Community who came to support our Book Fair!
It was another great success thanks to our very generous families. It was wonderful to see our students so excited, engaging with the different books of all genres available at the Book Fair.
We had over 50 new books donated to the TNPS Library, as well as a large number of families buying books to enjoy at home.
A big thank you to the teacher support and parents who gave up their time to help at the Book Fair. Without this our Book Fair would not have been such a success.
Happy reading!

Uniform Shop Changes

Dear Parents and Carers,
We are writing to inform you of an important change to how school uniforms will be purchased from December 2025 onwards.
As of December 2025, the school uniform shop will no longer be run by the TNPS P&C on-site at school. We are pleased to announce that we have partnered with an external provider, Midford, to manage all uniform sales from December onwards.
The new provider will offer a full range of our approved school uniforms and accessories, with the added benefits of in-store shopping and fittings at the Midford Turramurra store. Online ordering will still be available through a web page set up for TNPS on the Midford website and online orders will be delivered to school and then distributed to the students classrooms free of charge in the normal manner. However, there will also be an additional option for items to be delivered directly to home by Star Track with a charge of $15. More details regarding the onsite store location, opening hours and the process for creating online orders will be circulated closer to the transfer date.
In the meantime, in order to reduce the current stock held in the uniform shop prior to the transfer to Midford, we will be offering a 10% discount on all items purchased from 4 August until the transfer to Midford at the end of November, with a 20% discount being offered on all fleece jacket purchases. This is a great opportunity to stock up on any uniform items required for the remainder of this year at a discounted price, or even grab some larger sized items ready for next year!
We are working closely with Midford to ensure a smooth transition in December and appreciate your continued support over the next few months. If you have any questions regarding the changes, please feel free to contact the Uniform Shop or TNPS.
Thank you for your support.
